Asalamu Alaikum Sister In Islam

I have 3 girls and 3 boys, They have attended Islamic schools all their lives except this year, In their early years girls were not required to wear scarves to school but they wore them to various functions to get used to them, I started them somewhere around 5 years old.

We moved and then they started at a new school that required them to wear it at all ages, My now 12 year old wears it all the time, as well as my 11 year old, They wear long shirts, pants, skirts, and jilbabs, My 7 year old just wears it periodically but always wears long skirts and dresses, My girls are attending public school this year, There are many girls in their school that wear hijab, They wear mostly long skirt and dresses.

A jilbab periodically, I have told my 12 year old that next year she will have to exclusively have to wear the jilbab, I home school my 7 year old, I have always been very strict in hijab, It is an important part of who we are and what we represent, I have worked actively to promote hijab amongst the sisters that do not feel hijab is an important issue, May Allah guide us all on our path in Islam.

Wa Salam
