Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem
Assalaamu Alaiki Sister,

I guess I should start with my oldest daughter, Zayna. She started wearing hijab at the age of 3 masha'allah. She loves wearing hijab , When I first put her in hijab she was so excited! She looked so beautiful! But I must say that she doesn't like it all of the time... Some kids have tried pulling her hijab off and others have asked why is she wearing a scarf inside. This makes her very sad :o( My husband and I have told her not to worry about what other kids think or say, she looks beautiful. We've told her that other kids (non-Muslims) don't understand why we should wear hijab. She knows she should wear it to please Allah swt but I don't think she really understands what that means yet... But she does love to wear it and that is what matters .

OK now about my 2 1/2 year old... She started wearing hijab at the age of 2 masha'allah. She totally loves it! But sometimes she does get tired of wearing it and will either try to take it off or else she does take it off , She is still very young , She does know that she looks very beautiful wearing hijab and that makes her very happy!

I believe that by starting my girls at a young age with hijab they will accept it better than if I had waited. And also I believe that they will be less likely to take it off in the future because it's already a part of them. I will insha'allah put hijab on my baby (3 months old) when she is around 2 if not sooner... If a child believes she is beautiful in hijab and feels beautiful in hijab I don't think she will have a problem with it when she gets older... That's pretty much it!
